Christine R’s post about time brought the beginning and ending verse of Ralph Hodgson’s poem Time you Old Gypsy Man to my mind.
“Time, You old gypsy man
Will you not stay,
And put up your caravan
just for one day?”
{of course he always answers NO to that question!}
I inspired a post. 😮 I must have a look at the poem. No doubt it will be online.
That first and last verse of his poem has always stayed in my mind but I hadn’t read the whole poem until your remarks about time spurred me on to look it up online. Still like those verses best of the whole thing though.
