Perspective

Count your gains
and not your losses.
Look for the crowns
and not the crosses.
What’s one hug missed
if you were given two?
What’s a lost lace
if you still have the shoe?
So what if that
was the very last slice,
If when you ate it
it tasted nice?
What’s a missed bus
that left too early,
When you later heard
that the driver was surly?
What’s a pool of grease
where something dripped,
When it dried so hard
that you hadn’t slipped?
What’s wrong with the rain
that caught you in it,
If when you got home,
you were dried in a minute?
What matters the lack
of things you can do?
Forget that lost lace!
You still have the shoe!
