Emotography Week 9

b&w snap 20001

I took this photo many years ago but it still appeals to me in a variety of ways.

The delicate tracery of the blossoms is accentuated by the sharpness of the shadows on the table-and I like the way the shadow stretches over the end of the table defining it’s shape.

The glasses resting on the book promise a return to peruse it’s contents further, at a more undisturbed moment.

The shape of the partly obscured bowl adds another element of gracefulness to the scene.

  1. What I like most about this picture is the teeny scattering of petals from the branches in the vase. As though the reader has been gone for a while so the scene will be oh so subtely altered when they return.
