Tenacity
“I’ll take my house and go along
at my own special speed,
I don’t see what the hurry is
there really is no need!
It’s not about the speed rate
but about lasting till the end,
That’s something that I’m good at
for Time’s my closest friend.
I just keep to the trail,
never mind how far or long;
It’s just wriggle, wriggle forward
while my antenna beats a song.
I’ll be there, come next winter.
and not a bit puffed out,
For I tell you that I know
what tenacity’s about!
