A narrow esacpe

There was no escape!
He would probably die here but he couldn’t quite reconcile himself to that fate yet.
How he wished he had been more careful in the past and then this situation would never have arisen. He had tried every window in this place but they were all barred to him, nevertheless, he decided to try them all again. Alas, his efforts proved futile, and even though he knew it was useless he knocked frantically against the panes of glass one more time.
Wait! Had someone heard him? He cautiously circled the room towards the door as the doorbell pealed again. It was going to open! Was there a chance of escape?
Trying desperately not to make a sound he waited, then with a strong thrust he pushed forward through the narrow opening to zoom to freedom, loudly buzzing…
